Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Bartron Medical Imaging Inc. fully supports the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) organization in their efforts to promote breast cancer awareness, share information on the disease, and provide greater access to screening services.

R&D Magazine Award R&D Magazine announced the winners of the 49th Annual R & D 100 Awards. The award is a testimony to the 100 most “technologically significant products” introduced over the past year. BMI was listed as the Co-developer with NASA/GFSC in the category of Imaging Technologies for incorporating Recursive Hierarchical Segmentation into its MED-SEG™.

Incubator of the Year Award Bartron Medical Imaging was cited as the Maryland Technology Transfer Company of the Year at the 11th Annual Maryland Incubator Company of the Year Awards ceremony.

Fitz G. Walker, JR., President, CEO and Chief Technology Officer
Fitz G. Walker, Jr. has more than 20 years of experience in the field of electronics and computer science. He has worked at the University of Connecticut as a biological illustrator; he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts in Afro-American Studies; at UTC Hamilton Standard as a subcontractor in technical publications and was a graduate of the UTC Small Business Mentor Program; and as Pres/CEO of Bartron Manufacturing Corporation, which is a company he founded to develop and implement bar coding technologies and bar coding labels for the commercial and military market place. Mr. Walker has a diverse and varied background including instructor at Connecticut State Vocational Educational System in the fields of electromechanical and computer aided drafting electronics where he was also the technology coordinator. Mr. Walker is a member of the Quinnipiac University Chapter of Sigma Xi, which is a scientific research society. He was the Minority Vendor of the Year in Connecticut in 1985 and is a member of CURE and IEEE. Mr. Walker is also a member of the Connecticut MIT Forum, the University of Maryland, Baltimore County Multicore Computational Center and the Connecticut Technology Council CEO Roundtable. He is presently the CEO, CTO and product developer for Bartron Medical Imaging, Inc.
Thomas J. Rutherford, M.D., Medical DirectorDr. Thomas J. Rutherford is the Medical Director of Bartron Medical Imaging, Inc. He is presently the Division Director of Gynecologic Oncology at the Yale University School of Medicine. He has been associated with the Yale University School of Medicine since 1995. He graduated from the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo and also holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the same institution. He is the author of many publications, case studies, and abstracts.
Jennifer Smith Walker, Vice President, Treasurer and Director
Jennifer S. Walker has been a member of our Board of Directors since the Company's inception. In 1989 Mrs. Walker started working with Mr. Walker as an independent consultant. She quickly demonstrated her
commitment to bringing this technology to the marketplace. In 2001, Mrs. Walker was appointed Vice-President
of Bartron Medical Imaging, Inc. As Bartron Medical Imaging, Inc.'s Vice-President, Mrs. Walker is responsible for finance and corporate affairs and performs as Tax Accountant for the Corporation.

Grace M. Schaefer, RN, Corporate Secretary, Project Manager & Director
Grace M. Schaefer has been a member and Secretary of the Board of Directors since the Company's inception. She is currently on the Business and Scientific Advisory Board of Bartron Medical Imaging, Inc. and is acting as project coordinator. She helps develop and maintain a detailed project schedule which includes administrative tasks involved with various projects. She is responsible for tracking project changes and producing updated site-based schedules as agreed with engineering and manufacturing.
Jeffrey Horn, PE Executive Sales
Jeffrey Horn has led a successful career in bringing forward the commercial promises of the early stage developments in Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering that span over 25 years. His accomplishments include his earliest work on DNA Sequencers for Genentech in 1982 and the first Non-invasive Blood Pressure Monitors with Medtronics all the way through the establishment of a Biomedical Technology Incubator in 2001 that has helped generate many disruptive innovations such as QuikClot , BreastCare DTS and MED-SEG. His vast experience building global sales and marketing networks to implement new products is ideally suited to assist in the breakthrough potential of Bartron Medical Imaging.
